Quesnel Lake
This is a big lake holding big fish. Quesnel Lake is the deepest fjord lake in North America has three arms each about 30 miles long. Knowing where and when to fish the different sections allows us, to have you hooking that fish of a lifetime. We fish the drop offs, transition zones, and special areas where the fish are feeding. The Quesnel lake strain of rainbow trout is late maturing and does not spawn until they 7 years or more. The fish grow to a large size because of the nutrient base flowing into the lake, from the Quesnel Lake salmon spawning rivers and creeks. There are large schools of bait fish in the lake system allowing the fish to grow. For the Last 5 years you cannot keep a fish over 19 inches and this has led to bigger rainbow and bull trout being caught. Pictures tell the story better than we can.

Mitchell Lake Fly-Outs
For another Outstanding BC wilderness angling experience, fly in to Mitchell Lake. Deep in the Cariboo Mountains Park surrounded by towering ice capped mountains. Mitchell Lake is known for its excellent Rainbow and Bull Trout fishing. The Trout are 2 to 5 lbs with large bull trout up to 15 lbs being caught. Access is by air only so the pressure on this system is limited, giving you quality fishing.

We use the 5 passenger Astar helicopter from Frontline Aviation to move you and our gear in to the lake. We provide a 14' aluminum boat, motor prepared meals and guide.   You will stay in the comfort of our fish camp on the shores of pristine Mitchell Lake, deep in the heart of the Cariboo Mountains Park. Dry fly fishing at creek mouths, as they enter the lake produce nice rainbows, with big bull trout cruising the shore, Early mornings a slow troll with big leeches take trout as they begin to feed. If you have binoculars bring them as there are mountain goats on the sides of the mountains that you can see. Wildlife sightings are common and vary from mountain cariboo to moose to grizzly bears. A camera with a good telephoto lens helps you get those once in a lifetime shots.

Most stays are for three nights but some guests stay for a week at a time. Longer stays can be arranged.

Flight costs are extra, and keeps changing due to fuel prices. Call for current prices. Other costs: BC fishing license, GST (5%), gratuities for guide.
